    ❄My terrific class trip❄
On Saturday the 17th of August, we went on a trip to Christchurch. We left around lunch time
and our first stop was at Arthurs pass to play with the frosty snow.
Next stop was at Springfield to play in the park and take photos of us by the pink giant donut.
Our last stop was at Sheffield for a quick snack before heading to Te Pīhopatanga,
where we were staying for the duration of our trip.
Saturday night, we dressed up and went to dinner at The Garden City Restaurant. I
t was delicious. I had chips and chicken for dinner. For dessert I had pavlova with ice cream.
After that we went back to Te Pīhopatanga.
I felt sick with the flu so just sat In bed while others did our kapa haka bracket.
Later we had supper and went to bed.
The next morning we got ready to leave early so we didn't have to attend church.
And felt a bit better the next day.
First we went to The Palms Mall and I bought 2 drink bottles that were really expensive!.
Next, I went to Kmart and bought scrunchies, a candle, lollies and lights. After lunch at the mall,
we went to Margaret Mahy Park and played netball until I got sick of it so I looked after Hiwa
(Memphis’s baby). When we got back to the Pihopatanga, we had a kapa haka challenge.
The judges were Matua Bussy, Meladi Morgan and Whaea Kathy. I was stoked when my team
won! Afterward, we excitedly rushed around to get ready, to go to Disney on Ice at the
Horncastle arena.
It was a fantastic time, there was an array of Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy,
Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Toy Story, Moana, Māui, Dory, Nemo and all of the Disney
Princesses. I especially liked how Moana was in te reo Māori. But I didn't particularly like how
the host pronounced their names incorrectly. Overall Disney on Ice was a wonderful event to
enjoy. Next, we went out for dinner at Hells Pizza. Yum! Once we got back we played blind
man's bluff, ate supper and went to bed around 11pm.
Monday morning, we were up at 7.30am to have breakfast, get ready, packed our bags into the
vans done karakia and soon make our way to Riccarton mall.
After that we made our way home. Overall our trip was superb and I can't wait till our next trip
. Thanks to all our kaiako, whānau, tuakana and teina who helped and supported us to make
this trip possible.
